Snow White and the 7.... what?!

Back at the end of May, KB (3½ years old) apparently watched the movie "Snow White" while over at her Yiayia & Papou's house.

When she got home, she excitedly told me ALL about it.  This was her synopsis of how the story goes...
"Da bootiful princess name Snow White ate da cimamim (cinnamon) apple from da mean lady... den she died, and all da little santas were sad... but it was all ok, because free (3) days later, she WOSE  AGAIN!!! Yay!!" ;)
So apparently it's the Disney version of Christmas and Easter all rolled into one... :-P

Oh, and recently the neighbor-boy had to go & correct her, that they are not Santas they are Dwarfs.... so now she calls them The Seven Dorks. ::roflol::

I love that girl!!

"Joe Hashabah"

KB came to awhile ago, telling me about one of her imaginary friends, Joe Hashabah, who was "vewy, vewy sick!" and how we needed to pray for him. Me humoring her, says M'kay sweetie, we'll do that....   Not knowing that mere minutes later, she would come back, insisting that we pray for him "wight NOW!" So I bowed my head, closed my eyes, and listened as she prayed the most sweetest, sincere prayers for this "friend" of hers. She thanked God for Joe, asked Him to bless him, and to heal him fast, so we can "have fun an plway wif him verwy soon"

Thank you Lord for giving her a loving & caring heart... and helping her see the need for YOU in all thing...even those whose worth I overlook.

Funny Fridays :: And God said...

Tuesday night, as we were driving home from supper, KB was telling her daddy about Adam and Eve and how they weren't supposed to eat the fruit but they disobeyed. When B asked her what happened to them for disobeying she responded: "God created the heavens and earth, and said NO chocolate!!"

Hmm.. me thinks someone is mixing up the creation lesson (where Adam/Eve were disobedient)... with her own at home (her taking chocolate when she's not supposed to)... Razz

I have NO clue where she got that one.(?!)  The only thing we can figure is American Idol and church are two places that have singing...???  ~ And anyone that knows her knows how much she LOVES singing!!  LOL

Silly, silly girl...

Exultations of Adoration...

There is no effect more disproportionate to its cause
than the happiness bestowed by a small compliment.  ~Robert Brault

KB has always been a very empathetic, thoughtful little person.... but lately, she has become very complimentary, as well.  Everywhere we go.... every person we meet... she has something- at least one thing - that she "likes" about the person.  From their dress to their shoes... their earrings to their nails... their eyes to their hair.... . to  their skills - like [music] playing...  She always seems to know just how to bring a smile to a person's face!  And I smile, because after all, everyone needs a little adoration every once in a while... :)

Mark Twain once said: "I can live for two months on a good compliment." ~ And I like to think that people all over, are living even a smidgen happier lives... all because of one little girl's attentiveness to detail...  her big, sincere heart... and her kind, compassionate & loving words! ~  I am so proud of her!!

You know your bed-sharing/co-sleeping toddler is being greatly impressed, when she points out a photograph of an empty crib [a totally foreign concept to her] in her picture book, and declares *repeatedly* : "Mama.... baby cry... aww... sad."

Obedience

"Mommy, obey.... obey, mommy!" - the words I heard from my two year old, when I didn't do something, the way she thought/told me I should. :-) Hey, at least she's starting to grasp the concept.- haha - Never a dull moment... :-P

Goldfish

Over the course of the last month or two, KB has acquired four little goldfish! :) "Nemo", "Fishy", & "Shark-bait" and a fourth, yet to be named, happily reside in a large fishbowl, in the middle of our kitchen table - dearly loved & observed by all.

Home Sweet... Chick-fil-A???

We drove up to Chick-fil-A last night (as we do every Tuesday night - family tradition) and KB exclaims,

"I'm Hooommme!!"

(laughing) We ask: "You're home, KB?"

To which she answers (oh so very matter-of-factly), "Mmhm!"

LoL - what are we going to do with that crazy girl... ?

The picture above is the last two years, in July, right before "Cow Appreciation Day".
On the left is last year (11mos old) and the right is this year (23mod old)...

rain is made of... water!?

KB LOVES water... swimming, baths (she constantly asks for them), the hose, anything to do with water - esp if it means her getting wet. :-) Recently she even discovered how to turn on the kitchen faucet.... and is often found trying to push a chair across the room, just so she can play in the water. LoL.

Another part of her water-loving... is an obsession with rain. Whenever she hears it begin (which is almost daily, lately) she'll run to me exclaiming "Yane!" and fervently begin signing rain. ~ Her favorite is when - if it's not thundering/lightening)- I let her go out and play in it.... talk about the simple pleasures. <3 style="text-align: justify;">So, last night, as we were driving in the car, we came into some really hard rain... and KB naturally yells out "Yane, Yane!" I say, "Yes KB, it's raining... do you like the rain?" to which she responds, "mmmhmmm" There was a few moment of thoughtful silence, before I hear her little voice say, "Mama?" ~ "Yes KB?" ~ and she goes. "Yane......" ~ 'Yes KB, it's raining!" ~ "Mommy, yane... wat-tooo.... yane, wat-too..." ~ "yes, KB... the rain is made of water! Very good!" She was so adorably excited to make the connection - two of her favorite things, are in reality actually one in the same! - she then had to proclaim a few dozen more times: "Yane, wat-too... wat-too, yane..." ~~ It was too cute! ;)

A, B, C....

We are huge fans of Emergen-C packets.... esp (a half packet) for KB, as an occasional substitution to juice, or alternative to water. Well, recently, she started asking for it by name...
"Mama.... A, B! A, B, Mama!! "
Can you guess who has become aware of the alphabet lately?
~ Too cute for words!! ~
