When alarmed by the fury of the restless sea,
Towering waves before you roll,
At the end of doubt and peril is eternity,
Though fear and conflict seize your soul
Just think of stepping on shore, and finding it heaven
Of touching a hand, and finding it God's
Of breathing new air, and finding it celestial
Of waking up in Glory, and finding it "Home"

Just a few questions...
Miss you terribly Keetz! It is NOT fair that you were taken so soon... but I know God has a purpose in it all. (I only wish he would show us what that purpose is)...
I still wonder 'bout that.

Quote: Music...
"Our music cannot be like the music of the world, because our God is not like their gods. Most of the world’s music reflects the world’s ways, the world’s standards, the world’s attitudes, the world’s gods. To attempt to use such music to reach the world is to lower the gospel in order to spread the gospel. If the world hears that our music is not much different from theirs, it will also be inclined to believe that the Christian way of life is not much different from theirs." ~ John MacArthur:

So Small....
What you got if you ain't got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith
'Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And when you figure out
Love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
It swallows you whole
While you're sitting around thinking 'bout what you can't change
And worrying about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count 'cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, and when you figure out
Love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small!
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And then you figure out
Love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh, it sure makes everything else
Seem so small
~Carrie Underwood
Isn't it amazing how God seems to bring certain things across your path, just when you need them most....? One of our teens just shared a link to the music video with me (even more powerful than the lyrics alone!)... and after a really a rough week last week... the message of the song, genuinely hit close to home. ~ Thank you, Lord for the gentle reminder....

Let Them be Little...
Let Them Be Little ~ Billy Dean or Lonestar
I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand.
You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute.
How it amazes me, you're changin' with every blink.
Faster than a flower blooms, they grow up all too soon.
So... let them be little,
' Cause they're only that way for a while...
Give 'em hope, give them praise,
Give them love - every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, just let them be little.
I never felt so much, in one little tender touch.
I live for those kisses, your prayers an' your wishes.
An' now you're teachin' me, things only a child can see.
Tonight, while we're on our knees, all I ask is:Please.... Let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, just let them be little.
So innocent, a precious soul:
You turn around, an' it's time to let them go.
So, let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give 'em praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let them sleep in the middle,
Oh, just let them be little.
Mmm...
Let them...
Be little.

"Be Still, My Soul"
by Catharina von Schlegel, 1697-?
Translated by Jane Borthwick, 1813-18971. Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.2. Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.3. Be still, my soul, though dearest friends depart
And all is darkened in the vale of tears;
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrows and thy fears.
Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay
From His own fulness all He takes away.4. Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Stop Global Whining
The Right Brothers
written by Frank Highland and Aaron Sain
There's a crisis on the planet
It's heated up almost a whole degree
It hasn't been this hot in a long time
Not since the 16th Century
When there were no evil SUVs
(Chorus)
Stop Global Whining
It's up to you
The earth's been heating up and cooling back down
Since the day it started spinning 'round and 'round
Stop Global Whining
Get your head out of the clouds
His name is Al Gore, yeah he's a loser
He says the blame falls on me and you
He flies around in a private jet
While he tries to sell an inconvenient "truth"
Hey Al here's something you can do
(Repeat Chorus)
Maybe you should shut up Al
Cause every time you talk you're filling up the air
With carbon dioxide too
So if you really think that we'll become extinct
The best thing that you can do is
(Repeat Chorus)
Stop Global Whining
It's up to you
Stop Global Whining
I'm sick and tired of hearing you

Johnny Appleseed Song
Lyrics:
The Lord is good to me("The Lord is Good to Me" from the 1948 film, "Melody Time")"
And so I thank the lord
For giving me the things I need
The sun and rain and an appleseed
Yes, He's been good to me
I owe the Lord so much
For everything I see
I'm certain if it weren't for Him
There'd be no apples on this limb
He's been good to me
Oh, here am I 'neath the blue, blue sky
a-doin' as I please
Singin' with my feathered friends,
hummin' with the bees
I wake up every day
as happy as can be
Because I know that with His care
My apple trees, they will still be there
Oh, the Lord is good to me
I wake up every day
As happy as can be,
Beacuse I know the Lord is there
Watchin' over all my friends and me
The Lord is good to me.
What a blessing that song was to me!! - You would NEVER hear those words on a Disney film in these days!! It really is sad!! It would probably have 'ol Walt turning in his grave if he knew how his name was being connected to/slandered, with some of the filth the Disney company is promoting!!

You can also get another CD download (Traditional Quartet Harmony with Piano) for FREE at the same website. http://www.greghowlett.com/daybreakdownload.aspx. I just downloaded this one, but have not listened to it, yet. But IMO, quartet hymns are always nice to listen to... :)
This offer does expire today.
