How it all came together...

Since I have been posting bits & pieces of my bridesmaid journey... I thought y'all might want to see how it all came together, for the big day. These pix were snapped when we got home last night (after the wedding/reception)... enjoy!

It's been described as fun, funky, and elegant... yes, all in the same description. - lol!!

Just finished at the salon! And are now waiting at the reception site for the Trolley! - We're "Going to the chapel, and she's gonna get married"!!!

Vanessa

~ Tiffany & Vanessa ~ Summer of 1999 ~

Though we've known each other since we were just tikes (two or three?)... and saw each other on a a weekly basis for years.... we were oddly, nothing but mere ships passing in the night. Then one summer - the Summer of 1994 - something suddenly clicked between us... and from then on, we were best-friends! Through the years, she has stood by me during the good, the bad & the ugly. Our friendship has seen it share of tests & trials... yet the bond between us, has remained strong & true. Vanessa has truly been my "bosom friend." - my kindred spirit to whom I can confide my inmost soul. ;-) But alas, the pages have turned.. and the time since we shared those carefree days of our girlhood- our long walks, mini backpacks, spy clubs, and summer plays - have now swiftly drifted into nothing but fond memories. Mere short chapters in a much grander story of life. Our lives are forever moving forth, & ever-changing. Yet, I hope she knows that no matter what life brings... or how far apart we live.... she will always hold a very dear place in my heart.

So now, exactly 4 years and one week after she honored me, by standing as my bridesmaid in my wedding... it is her turn. Probably right now, as you are reading this... we are busily bustling around, in preparation for her big-day... which hold no greater honor & joy, than to be standing by her side, as she exchanges her vows, and starts such an amazing new chapter in her life! Congratulations Vanessa! I love you! <3

Brides reqst 4 our footwear: silver sandals ~ beyond that, it was our pick. Here's a pic of mine. Aren't they cute? The only thing Im worried about, is the heals. I'm a bareft gal... so I hope I don't fall on my face!! LoL!! ...off 2 practice!! ;)

Chk this out! I dnt usually paint my nails, Xcept 4 spshl occasions... but my sis gav me this one 4 Cmas... & its almst Xctly the same color as my dress 4 the wed!!

Bridesmaid

One of my dearest & closest friends, is getting married.... and I am going to be a bridesmaid! She just asked me tonight!! I am SOO excited!

BFF... engaged!

My childhood-long best friend just called.... and her boyfriend proposed to her tonight!! I cannot tell you how excited I am for her!! Her ring is the one pictured above.... Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?! I can't *wait* to see it in person!! The really neat thing about her call last night.... is that I called her the night B proposed to me, and she thought it to be so special, that she wanted to make sure I was one of the first to know of her happy news! Wasn't that so sweet of her?!

Congratulations Vanessa! I wish you ALL the best! Let me know if there is *anything* I can do for you!! Love you!!

TFY: We're Married!

We did it!! Bill and I were married on April 12th and now are working on getting settled into our house - after returning late last night from our wonderful 10-day honeymoon! Many pictures and details to come, but right now I need to go to the grocery store... LoL! ;)

...yes folks, it is 100% real!! ::Big Grin::
On a magical night, under a sky full of twinkling stars,
and with the beauty of our beloved Sarasota Bay all around us,
a very special man got down on one knee and asked me to become his wife!
So now on this night, December 9, 2004,
I wear a beautiful ring as a symbol of love and promise
from a man that is not only my best friend, but the one I have come to love so dearly!

TFY: Wedding dress

I did it... I got my wedding dress today!! (YEA!!)
I am SO excited!! --It's absolutely gorgeous! <3 

      I have been looking at this dress, in the store window, for almost 2 weeks now, so while Mom and I were out taking my grandma to the doctor, I asked if we could stop in and look at it.   As soon as we got there I made a beeline for the store window to check it out, and low and behold, it's not only beautiful, but it's also really reasonable, and (best of all) in my size!   So I'm standing there drooling over it, and my Mom goes over to and says to the lady, "I'm interested in the dress in the window, for my daughter, could she please help us get it down, so she can try it on?"  The lady, who, BTW, couldn't see me from the counter, says (very sharply): "Well, where is she?"  Mom told her that I was over by the window looking at the dress, and the lady sarcastically snaps "well, what size does she wear?" Mom says "My daughter is over there right now, we already looked at it, and we think it is going to fit." The lady then tells us that we better be right, because it's really difficult to get take down. :-(   Finally, after a little more lovely conversation with Madam Charming (AKA the sales lady) , she finally walks over to the window to begin to begin the ever so difficult task of getting it down -- she unzips the back, slips it down, lifts the model out, picks up the dress and carries it away -- I'm thinking...  Yeah, right, that was REAL hard.... :-?  So she brings the dress over to me, and, as she hands it to me, she says   "Now if the zipper is snug, you won't force it, will you?"  I'm thinking 'Come on, woman... How big do you think I am?!?', but sweetly answered "No ma'am, I wont...promise!"

   

  So I finally get to go in and try it on, and, other than being a *little* bit too big up top (which can be alter

ed), it fit like it was made for me! :-D  I stood there in front of the mirror... My heart beated rapidly, as I twirled around in amazement, trying to see every angle. This is the dress I've always dreamed of -- it was perfect!  I walked out to show my grandma, and the first thing that came out of her mouth was "Oh Tiffany... It's you, through and through!!!" 

Well, Madam Charming (still not thinking we were really serious) walks up and goes "We have layaway, and.... "  Mom goes  "No, she's going to write you a check"  Just then, I thought the lady was going to drop dead right before my eyes :-O :-P :) She goes "You mean you are going to BUY it?! You really made up your mind that quickly?!  Wow!  I can't believe you just walked in, looked at it for a few minutes, tried it on, and decided to buy it- just like that. Boy, that was fast... (etc.)" and she continued as we left the store..  I do believe she was in total SHOCK... LOL!  :-}

      So I now have my dream dress! :-D I was originally planning to have my dress made for me, but I know we couldn't have made one as perfect as this (& for the price we got it for)... God is good!!!
