This week's awesome deal...

Thanks to coupons (& MIL for getting us an Entertainment book this past year, for Christmas) + a leftover Regal Movie Theaters gift card... We just scored....   

• Dinner @ Subway (bogo 6 inch w/ drinks)
• A Movie (Saw "Salt" @ the theater... and after the gift card & a coupon, we paid a total of $7.50)
• Dessert (shared a brownie @ Applebees)

Our grand total for the evening....  just under $20! ~ Yessss.... !!!! :-)

Movie Review: UP

Tonight we went and saw Pixar's newest movie, "UP" in 3D for our date night.

Synopsis: A young Carl Fredrickson meets a young adventure spirited girl named Ellie. They both dream of going to a Lost Land in South America. 50+ years later, Ellie has died. By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream and promise to Elle - to go to Paradise Falls. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey. Russel, an 8 year old Wilderness Explorer, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip. Together, they embark in an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin.

Date night: 05/28/09....

Tonight was date night, so we went to Chili's for dinner....

And once again, God provides...
& we were able to enjoy an inexpensive, yet wonderful night out...
just the two of us!!

We were able to get away with a delicious dinner (+ 2 drinks - a splurge for us), for only $1.29!!!

B (of course) had steak... the Flame-Grilled Ribeye, to be exact...

While I had the oh.so.tasty Quesadilla Explosion Salad...

Fajita-marinated chicken, mixed cheeses, corn relish, cilantro, diced tomato, crispy tortilla strips and ancho-chile ranch drizzle. Served with cheese quesadilla wedges and our citrus-balsamic dressing.

Which I now *highly* recommend! OMW... it was excellent!! - SO good!!

Date Night: 04/09/09...

Just a few snap shots from our date night this week....

We went for a lovely sunset walk on the beach, and then to Sweet Tomatoes for bogo dinners! (yum!) . It was beautiful! ... I love where I live!!

Date night....

We decided to make our dinner our last week, the kick-off to a newly formed, weekly trend.... and use Thursday nights, for a regular date-night, just me & B!! yay! Since money is tight, I am always looking for frugal and creative ways to pull this off.... and as always, the Lord has provided. Over the last week, I have found a buy-one, get one Blizzards at Dairy Queen... a coupon for six free wings at Buffalo Wild Wings... and (the best one!) a Bo-go coupon for Sweet Tomatoes! Whoohoo! I can't wait to use them!

Valentines Day....

Tonight we finally got the opportunity to celebrate our Valentines day... and it was *awesome!!!* We had $100 to spend, between a gift card & a coupon... so we got to go all out!! We did the Lobster Indulgence Big Night Out.... which includes 3 courses (cheese fondue, salad, entree) + dessert fondue.

We had the Spinach Artichoke cheese (Fantastic!! -- a mix of Fontina and Butterkäse cheeses, spinach, artichoke hearts and garlic)... Caesar salad... Lobster Indulgence (Twin Lobster Tails, Limoncello Balsamic Sirloin, Shrimp Diablo, Sun-dried Tomato Chicken, Orange Fennel Pork Tenderloin, Porcini and Portobello Sacchetti, Fresh Vegetables) in the Mojo cooking style.. and the "Flaming Turtle" (Milk chocolate, caramel and chopped pecans, flambéed table side.) - with dark chocolate instead of milk! --- Delicious!!

Then after we were done eating... we continued our walk down memory lane, with a moonlight stroll down beautiful Island Park. It was perfect! - very reminiscent of the night B proposed! - so sweet! <3
